Calum's Bio

Calum MacLeod started his domestic career on a promising note, but was reported for a suspected bowling action by the umpires in 2010. An aggressive right-arm medium pace bowler, made his international debut in 2008.

He featured for Scotland in the 2006 Under-19 World Cup and had played youth cricket for his nation before making his senior debut. It was in the summer of 2008 when MacLeod

got a chance to represent his nation in the ODI format against Kenya, but the match succumbed to rain.

In the 2012 ICC World T20 Qualifiers, during Scotland’s win over Oman, MacLeod slammed an unbeaten 104 off just 76 deliveries and was the leading run scorer in the tournament, with 307 runs in 9 matches.

He became a consistent player for Scotland over the years and in 2014, MacLeod alongside John Hastings shared the highest sixth wicket partnership in T20 history (126*).

In one of Scotland’s crowning moments in ODI history, MacLeod registered an unbeaten 140 off just 94 deliveries against England in 2018. His knock helped Scotland post a total of 371 against the No.1 ranked side in the world.

A great timer of the cricket ball, MacLeod has earned a special place amongst the Scotish fans, thanks to his scintillating knock against neighbours England in 2018. He has been a batting stalwart for his side over the past few years and has improved his game drastically.
