Bio
A prolific all-rounder and a canny operator with her leggies, Alana King is a professional Australian cricketer for the Perth Scorchers who moved from Melbourne Stars prior to the start of the seventh edition of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). The signature of Alana is a huge boost for the Scorchers who have lured in the all-time leading wicket-taker of the Stars.
After representing Victoria at the u-15s and u-18s level, Alana earned her maiden WBBL contract from Stars in its inaugural edition impressing with 3 wickets at an economy of just over 6. Her outstanding run in last year’s WBBL saw her getting rewarded with the selection in the WBBL Team of the Tournament. The talented leggie scalped 16 wickets including a match-winning spell of 3/16 against Perth in the Semi-Final.
Alana is a handy lower-order batter who possesses brutal hitting power and has also played several cameos for the Stars. The 25-year old would be hoping to produce another stunning season in the WBBL to earn a callup from the national side.
