Bio
A young fast-bowling prodigy, Liam Hatcher represents New South Wales and plays for Melbourne Stars. Born in Liverpool, he is a product of the Fairfield-Liverpool club, who represented the Australian side at the 2016 U-19 World Cup.
Before playing the marquee tournament, Hatcher also toured England in 2015 and he was involved in the team's Youth ODI Tri-Series against New Zealand and Pakistan in February 2016.
Hatcher made his List-A debut playing for Cricket Australia XI in the 2015-16 season in the Matador One-Day Cup. A few weeks later he also got a ticket for first-class cricket against the touring Kiwis in early 2016.
The young left-arm quick was roped in by Sydney Thunder for BBL 06 as a development rookie and was retained for BBL 07 as well, before migrating to Melbourne. He made his BBL debut for the Stars during the 2020-21 season.
Hatcher got nine games to showcase his prowess in BBL|10, where the pacer showcased that he is much more than just his burly physical attributes. He is not a speedy or skiddy kind of a bowler, but he uses the left-arm angle to his advantage.
