A tall and muscular pacer and a more than a useful lower-order batsman, Romario Shepherd is a professional cricketer for the West Indies national team. Born and raised in Georgetown, Romario played age-group cricket for Guyana and came into the limelight after some solid performances in the domestic Super50 tournament.
After his exploits in domestic limited-overs cricket, the Guyanese-born allrounder made his first-class debut against Jamaica in March 2017. Romario came up the ranks and made his ODI debut against Afghanistan on November 6th, 2019, and scalped two wickets in a comfortable win against the Afghans.
At the age of 26, Romario has just a handful of games under his belt but his arrival at the international stages has boosted the Caribbean bowling line-up in limited-overs cricket. Still yet to cement his place for the Caribbean Islands, he would be looking to improve his accuracy, and line and length to be more impactful at the highest level.
