The five-time Champions were touted to be the most daunting bowling attack as the Indian seam master was supposed to be hand in hand with the English speedster Jofra Archer, but the long-standing back to the former has poured water on Mumbai Indians' dreams.

Archer will be the lone wolf when Mumbai field their team in the upcoming Indian Premier League. However, they will still have Jason Behrendorff, Duan Jansen, Akash Madhwal, Arjun Tendulkar, Arshad Khan and Cameron Green in their ranks.

Ahead of the 16th edition of the league, MI's most excellent find, Bumrah, joined their dugout and spent some time with the English speedster.

The duo were seen during the WPL Final between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, which the former clinched to become the inaugural edition of the league.

Bumrah has been through Mumbai's ranks from IPL 2013, while MI acquired the Englishman during last season's mega auction. But unfortunately for the team, the duo has yet to play together as Archer was recovering from an injury in 2021.

Talking about Mumbai's strengths for this year, they have a sorted batting order; but the bowling department might be a headache.

Nevertheless, the Rohit Sharma-led unit will begin their campaign on Sunday, when they will be at loggerheads with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
