Sri Lanka tour New Zealand for a two-Test series in hopes of keeping their ICC World Test Championship final dream alive. Firstly, Dimuth Karunaratne will need both their Tests against the hosts and also rely on the results of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 between India and Australia.

Karunaratne, before flying off to New Zealand on Sunday night, said that the preparation provided by Sri Lanka Cricket ahead of the tour has been adequate.

Karunaratne further stated that Sri Lanka are eager to beat the Black Caps 2-0.

Here's what Karunaratne said

"This time our Radella training period which was conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket is very good. The climatic conditions are especially suitable for the New Zealand series Radella wickets have been prepared with good bounce which gave advantage to the players before this New Zealand series.

"We wanted to beat New Zealand in both Test matches in this series."
