What comes as a massive boost for the English County side Lancashire, they have been able to sign the New Zealand duo of Daryl Mitchell and Colin de Grandhomme for the upcoming season. Both of them will be fully available to ply their trade in the County Championship along with T20 Blast.

The dynamic all-rounders have been pretty much wonderful as they have done some outstanding work in international cricket for the BlackCaps.

While de Grandhomme will link up with the side before the season commences whereas his compatriot will be available prior to the game against Somerset on 11th May.

On his joining, Mitchell expressed his feelings about English conditions while showing his excitedness. He said,

"I really enjoy playing in English conditions and the special history of the game around the country. I have very fond memories of my two tours to England with New Zealand and hope to build more with Lancashire."

Conversely, Colin was eager too for the English season as he has previously played for counties like Warwickshire, Hampshire and Surrey.

“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of playing for Lancashire this season. I’ve loved playing county cricket previously and I can’t wait to get to England in April to kick off the season with the Red Rose."

Daryl Mitchell is currently a part of the New Zealand side for the India series whereas De Grandhomme bid adieu to international cricket last year.
