It was another brilliant day of cricket in Ranji Trophy as Round-6 matches came to an end. There were many individual performances and results which made headlines on Day 4. Let's take a quick recap of what transpired.

Akash Deep takes maiden 10-fer

Bengal pacer Akash Deep took his maiden 10-wicket haul of his first-class career, helping Bengal beat Haryana by an innings and 50 runs. Akash shone with the ball once again in the second innings after previously taking five wickets in the first innings.

Akash finished with 5 for 51 in the second innings to take Bengal across the line on Day 4. Moreover, it was another collective effort from Bengal pace-trio comprising Ishan Porel, Mukesh Kumar and Akash, taking Bengal to another quarter-final in Ranji Trophy.

Lalith Mohan stifles SAU

Lalith Mohan took 6 wickets in the second innings against Saurashtra on Day 4, helping Andhra to win the match by a massive 150 runs. Chasing 443, Saurashtra started the day with 10 for 1. Lalith, who took five wickets in the first innings, continued to take Saurashtra batters into cleaners.

The left-arm spinner straightaway removed night watchman Chetan Sakariya and went on to remove Sheldon Jackson before Lunch. Despite a fighting effort from Cheteshwar Pujara, Saurashtra fell 150 runs short and Mohan finished with 11 wickets in the match.

Delhi upset Mumbai

Delhi was having one of their worst Ranji Trophy seasons and out of nowhere they had an outright win over Mumbai during Day 4 of the round-6 match.

Vaibhav Rawal and Himmat Singh shone with the bat to give Delhi the first-innings lead, followed by a match winning five-wicket haul from 20-year-old Divij Mehra to restrict Mumbai to 170 in the second innings.

Chasing 95 on Day 4, Delhi comfortably achieved the target with 8 wickets in hand and beat Mumbai in Ranji Trophy for the first time since 1980.
