Indian vice captain KL Rahul displayed a brilliant effort in the losing game against Bangladesh as the player scored 70 runs for his side. However, he did not receive any support from his fellow batters as India were restricted to just 186 runs on the board.

The batter had been under a lot of fire for his poor string of performances. However after being pushed down to the middle order, Rahul repaid the team management's faith playing a promising inning for his side.

Talking to the press during the post-match press conference Rahul commented on his knock against Bangladesh quoting everything went right for him in the match while he was batting,

"Out of everybody else it looked like I was timing the ball better, and the shots I was playing everything was smoothly went my way. It's something that I have been training in for the past few sessions ever since we arrived here at Bangladesh,"

While Rahul surely played a good knock, his innings went in vain as Bangladesh managed to stun India in the closing overs with Mehidy Hasan Miraz taking the hosts over the finish line with just one wicket to spare.
