Surkyakumar Yadav says he's not carrying any 'mental baggage'

The latest superstar in Indian cricket, Suryakumar Yadav is crystal clear about his intentions and his role in the Indian cricket team. Surya was named the 'Player of the Series' in the recently concluded 3-match T20I series in New Zealand. He scored 124 runs in two innings, including an unbeaten century. 

Although the third match ended in a tie as rain stopped play, Surya expressed that he's happy with the way things ended. 


Suryakumar clear about his ambitions


"Really happy with the way things went, would have loved to have a full game but I am glad we got the series win, The weather is not in our hands. The pressure is always here, but there is no fun when there is not."

"I am just enjoying my batting and not carrying any baggage." 

"[We] Can take a bit of time, but the approach and intent will be the same. These things are not in our control. We can just express ourselves."


After the end of the T20I series India is all set to face New Zealand again in a three-match ODI series. This time the Men in Blue will be led by veteran Shikhar Dhawan.
