It will have to come up in the next meeting: BCCI President on Women's IPL

Women's IPL is about in begin in March 2023 ending a lot of hype and drama over the years, finally yielding the result. Previously, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) formally approved the decision to hold the first ever edition in their previous Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Now, BCCI President Roger Binny has opened up on the inaugural edition of the women's biggest T20 event that will be played in India next year. Binny, a former cricketer and a crucial member of the 1983 World Cup winning team said that the Board will decide all the modalities relating to it after the conclusion of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

The decision will come after discussing the entire structure that will be in place for the tournament that holds a lot of importance. He also mentioned that all the things are in place, but it is just the finalization of certain things that are remaining.

"Everything is in place. We have just not yet finalised how things are going to be. That (how the teams will be divided) is also being discussed. We have not yet decided on it. It will have to come up in the next meeting."

BCCI has been previously pondering over a five-team event that will take place on two different venues every year.
