T20 World Cup: Tim Southee finds New Zealand's bowling attack well-balanced

New Zealand pacer Tim Southee thinks they have a well-rounded attack, with the presence of quality spinners and pacers for the T20 World Cup 2022.
The Kiwi team, over the years, have been one of the most consistent performers in international cricket. They emerged as a runner-up in the 2019 World Cup, emerged as the inaugural winner of the World Test Championship and ended as finalists of T20 WC 2021.
New Zealand's success can be much credited to the proficient bowling unit, who have consistently picked wickets on different surfaces. In addition, the left-arm pacer Trent Boult has been in the form of his life in the white-ball formats.
Southee has been using the new ball well and taking wickets with his variations in the death overs. In addition, Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner are proven performers in the shortest format.
The tearaway pacer Lockie Ferguson has recovered from the injury and will be fresh heading into the marquee event.
Regarding Ferguson's availability, Southee thinks it's a luxury to have one of the fastest bowlers in the team, who can skittle any batting unit.

"When you look at our bowling attack, it covers most bases (as per Australian conditions). Good spinners, some guys who can swing the ball like. We also got Lockie Ferguson, who is one of the fastest bowlers in the world at the moment,"
"It’s as attack which I can say is very well-balanced. Someone like a Lockie Ferguson has the ability to break the game open and is an exciting prospect to have in the side if not the fastest bowler in the world."
Recently, New Zealand lost their warm-up fixture against South Africa, while the game against India was washed out due to rain on Wednesday.
The Kane Williamson-led side will begin their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against Australia on Saturday (October 22) in Sydney.
