In what was a one-sided affair, India women thrashed Sri Lanka women in the eighth final of the Women's Asia Cup to clinch their seventh title.

Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to have a go with the bat first. However, Chamari's decision quickly turned into a nightmare as the Indian bowlers ripped through their neighbour's batting order picking wickets one after the other.

Renuka Singh had a magnificent spell with the ball as she ripped through the top order picking up three wickets within the power play. By the end of the sixth over half the Sri Lankan batting order was already back in the dugout.

Gayakwad and Rana chipped in with the ball picking up the remaining wickets as the Sri Lankan innings was wrapped at a mediocre score of 65/9 in the designated twenty overs.

Inoka and Achini tried to help their team avoid an all-out as they held their ground as the last partnership to deny India the last wicket.
