New Zealand will be looking to clinch the tri-series by winning the final match while revenge will be on the minds of Pakistan when the two teams lock horns in the summit clash on Friday, October 14.

Both teams have experienced similar fates in the series, winning three of their four matches and setting up smooth sailing to the finals. However, due to their better net run rate, New Zealand occupies the top spot while Babar Azam-led Pakistan is placed second in the leader board. 

The hosts and Pakistan have so far faced each other twice, with both teams winning a game each. While the visitors got the better of the Black Caps, trouncing them by six wickets, the Kiwis were merciless against Pakistan in the second meeting, bashing them by nine wickets.

All in all, with a coveted series victory at stake and some of the best T20 stars taking the field against each other, a cracking game of T20 beckons at Christchurch on Friday.

  • Mohammad Rizwan: Having clobbered 167 runs in four innings at an average of 55.67 and a strike rate of 123.70, Rizwan claims the second position in the batting tally. 
  • Finn Allen: The in-form Kiwi batter has scored 123 runs from four matches at an average of 30.75 and 141.38. He is the second-highest run-scorer for New Zealand.
  • Mohammad Wasim: The right-arm quick has been sensational with the ball so far in the series. Currently, he is the highest wicket-taker in the series with seven wickets in 4 matches.
  • Tim Southee: The Kiwi pacer is the joint leading wicket-taker in the series with seven wickets from four games at an economy of 7.81 and a strike rate of 13.71
