Promising Pakistani batter Haider Ali has been admitted to a hospital because of a viral illness during the sixth T20I against England in Lahore.

Continuing his poor run, Haider could manage only 18 runs in the game. After Sam Curran sent him back to the dugout, the swashbuckling right-handed batter felt dizziness in the dressing room and was subsequently hospitalised.

The last few days haven't been ideal for the Pakistan team as their crucial players are getting ill frequently. Notably, young fast bowler Naseem Shah was hospitalised a few days ago and ruled out of the ongoing series after being tested positive for COVID-19. Now Haider being down with a viral infection is certainly a matter of concern for the Men in Green.

Moving on to the series, it is well-poised at three-all with one game to go. The hosts suffered a crushing eight-wicket defeat last night, courtesy of a blistering 41-ball 88* from Philip Salt.

After the England series, Pakistan will participate in a T20I tri-series featuring hosts New Zealand and Bangladesh. This will be their final dress rehearsal before the T20 World Cup in Australia.
