Australian coach Andrew McDonald heaped praise on Suryakumar Yadav following his match-winning knock in Hyderabad. The Indian batter listed 69 from just 36 deliveries and helped the ‘Men in Blue’ to hunt down Australia’s 186 in the series decider.

After the match, McDonald claimed that Yadav is going to be one of the batsmen to look out for at the T20 World Cup in Australia next month.

The Indian batters severely flayed the Australian bowling attack throughout the three-match T20I series, especially during the death overs. While the hosts had piled up over 200 in the first game, they chased down daunting totals in the next two and claimed the series by a 2-1 margin.

Australian coach and former cricketer Andrew McDonald, aware of his bowlers’ shortcomings in the series, has said that there is still room for improvement before the showpiece event next month. He also praised Indian batters Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav for their attacking approach.

“The conversations always going to be. Can you get better at your death bowling? The answer to that is yes. We encourage our guys to make good decisions and execute them.

Sometimes the batter out-executes you and we've seen that with Hardik (Pandya) throughout the series. Suryakumar Yadav was outstanding today and he's gonna be dangerous in the World Cup but he showed what he can do.”
