England Women will host India Women in the second ODI of the three-match series at St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury on Wednesday, September 21. 

India Women kicked off the ODI series on a promising note after they managed to outsmart England Women in the first ODI by seven wickets. 

Opting to field first at the two-paced wicket, the Indian bowlers breathed fire with the ball and restricted the hosts to a modest total of 227 for 7 in their stipulated 50 overs. 

In reply, the visitors rode on Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet's match-defining knocks of 91 and 71* respectively to chase down the total in just 44.2 overs and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

England Women, on the other hand, flaunted an underwhelming performance against the Women in Blue barring Alice Davidson-Richards and Danni Wyatt, who showed some fightback with the bat.

Heading into the second ODI, England Women will start as the overwhelming favorites but the visitors, under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, will be keen to keep their winning momentum going.
