The much hyped return of Sourav Ganguly to the cricketing field was a short lived one.

Indian cricket fans, who were waiting eagerly for their beloved "Dada" to step onto the field once again have been left disappointed. This was due to the former Indian skipper withdrawing his name from the Legends League, wherein he was slated to play one-game for India Maharajas against World XI, led by Eoin Morgan

Ganguly, the current BCCI President was said to play one match at his beloved home ground- The Eden Gardens to commemorate the occasion of Azadi Ki Amrit Maha Utsav. But as per sources, that is not happening anymore The match was to be played against the World XI on the 16th of September.

However, now the city residents would be in a bit of despair because even if the rest of the former players play, maybe Sourav will not be seen playing the game.
