Knight Riders post a below-par total

Invited to bat first, TKR lost their openers Sunil Narine and Tion Webster in the first two overs. Then, the in-form Andre Russell and Tim Seifert resurrected the team's innings and hit three sixes apiece.

They were devoid of a strong finish, with the unfortunate run-out of Russell (22 off 13). Siefert continued until the end to remain unbeaten on 37 off 25 to help the team in posting 84 on the board.

Dominic Drakes was the most successful bowler for Royals with two scalps.

Fletcher, Lewis guide Patriots to a title victory

Patriots openers Andre Fletcher and Evin Lewis exuded confidence to the middle-order by providing a positive start to the team.

Lewis raced to 32 off 16, with two fours and three maximums, before getting dismissed to Russell. Then the wickets of Sherfane Rutherford and Dewald Brevis did put Patriots under the pump.

However, Chris Gayle displayed his maturity to remain unbeaten on 15 off 16, while Fletcher contributed 27* off 23 and finished off the chase, with two balls to spare.
