Cricket Ireland handed Lewis a No Objection Certificate (NOC) on Thursday evening, enabling her to join her team for the Edgbaston encounter.

She will shuffle between England and Amstelveen, where Ireland Women will play a 3-match ODI series against the Netherlands.

In her reaction, Lewis said,

“I am excited to be returning to play in The Hundred once again, after getting a taste for the competition last year. It will be a juggle of commitments between Ireland and the Superchargers, but I am keen to ensure I can contribute to both teams as fully as I can."

Superchargers coach Dani Hazell expressed her delight in acquiring Lewis and said,

"We’re delighted to welcome Gaby to the Superchargers and look forward to working with such a talented player. Despite only still being 21, Gaby has a wealth of experience and we have seen what she can do in The Hundred before."

Lewis made her international debut for Ireland in 2014 and has since played 54 T20Is scoring 1161 runs, including a hundred against Germany in 2021.
