Former India skipper Virat Kohli's rut with the bat seems to haunt him since 2020.  The 33-year-old enters his fifteenth year of international cricket and will look to regain lost form in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022, having opted to rest from India's tour of the West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Former Indian player and coach Chandrakant (Chandu) Borde has spoken about what advice he will give to Kohli.

Borde, recalls an episode where then-Australian captain Bob Simpson took Sir Donald Bradman's advice and notched a glorious hundred against the visiting Indian side at Adelaide.

"We went to Australia in 1968. Their captain was going through a bad phase. Sir Don Bradman advised him to hit every ball in the practice session. After that he came on the field and hit a hundred against us. I will give the same advice to Virat Kohli that Sir Don Bradman did. 'Go son, go into the net and hit every ball' but to be honest, no one knows what will work for you in bad times." - Borde told India TV

From Gavaskar to Tendulkar, every player has to go through this: Borde

Former chief selector Borde, however, maintained that such a dip is given in cricket and happens to the best of players.

"From Gavaskar to Tendulkar and me, every player has to go through this. You get out on a simple ball, you get out even after playing the best shot. I have not been able to find any conditional treatment till now to deal with this situation."
