Since making his debut in 2013, Head has amassed 1360 runs in 51 innings at a prolific strike rate of 132.68. He sits at the fourth position in the club's all-time top-scorer list.

In the 2017/18 season, he was named as the youngest captain of the club. In addition, the southpaw slammed 374 runs in nine appearances to help the team in lifting their maiden BBL title.

Head excited with the extension

“I love representing Adelaide and South Australia at all levels and so I am thrilled to have another couple of years locked away with the Strikers," said Head.

“Playing cricket at Adelaide Oval is one of the great joys of this game and I look forward to seeing what we can do this season as we look to go to that next level.

“We have a really strong squad and so I’ll just be trying to play my role within that and doing all I can to contribute with both bat and ball.”

Recent Performances of Head in international cricket

Head was used as a bowling option in the red-ball series against Sri Lanka, wherein he responded with four scalps. The ODI-leg of the same series witnessed him contributing 120 runs in three innings.

The skilful batter was chosen as Player of the Series in the Ashes 2022 for his contribution of 357 runs, which helped Australia to secure a 4-0 victory.
