A Mayank Agarwal masterclass steers Bengaluru Blasters

The Blasters' skipper Mayank Agarwal made the 175-run chase (VJD directed) look like a walk in the park as he peppered the Strikers' bowlers all around the park to score an unbeaten 102* off just 49 deliveries.

Chethan LR, who came to open the inning alongside Mayank, stacked 15-ball 34 before Devaiah ended his stay in the middle in the fifth over.

Mayank, who hit 10 fours and six towering sixes in his 49-ball innings, then teamed up with Aneesh KV and sent the Shivamogga Strikers' bowlers on the leather hunt to overwhelm the target in just 15.4 overs.

Rohan Kadam's scintillating knock in vain

Earlier, the Strikers rode on a phenomenal 52-ball 84 from opener Rohan Kadam and a half-century knock from Sharath BR to post a mammoth total of 172/2 in the allotted 19 overs.

The opening duo put up a 116-run stand for the first wicket. Kadam's knock was studded with 8 fours and 3 monstrous sixes while Sharath peeled off 5 four en route to his 45-ball 51-run knock.

Skipper Krishnappa Gowatham (12-ball 18) and Avinash D (5-ball 13) played the handy knocks towards the end, taking the Strikers to 173/2 after 19 overs. For Bengaluru Blasters, Kumar LR (1/44) and Jagadeesha Suchith (1/24) bagged one wicket apiece.

Following this win, Bengaluru Blasters moved up to the points table to claim the numero uno position with three wins from four matches. Shivamogga Strikers, on the other hand, find themselves in a dismal position after losing all their four games on the trot.
