The Australian cricketers, led by Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch, donated their prize-pool of AUD 45,000 to Sri Lanka's UNICEF appeal.

SLC moved by Australia's gesture

The SLC have thanked the Australian Cricket Team for showing generosity at such a crucial time for the nation.

"It was very clear to us how much day-to-day life for Sri Lankans is being impacted. When the team saw what was happening it was an easy decision to donate our prize money to UNICEF, who have been in Sri Lanka for more than 50 years supporting the needs of children and families.” - Cummins.

Several Australian cricketers like Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith, Finch, Josh Hazlewood have thanked Sri Lankan fans and praised the nation's hospitality while leaving the country after the conclusion of the series.
