The final two T20 Internationals (T20I) of the five-match series between West Indies and India will go ahead as scheduled after both teams got their United States of America (USA) visa approval yesterday.

It was thanks to the intervention of Guyana President Irfaan Ali, who ensured the remaining players received their clearance to fly off for the remaining two T20Is, to be held in Lauderhill, Florida.

"It was a timely and influential diplomatic effort by His Excellency. They can fly only tomorrow afternoon. All Visa applications have been approved but passports are not to be returned until this afternoon," Ricky Skerritt, President, Cricket West Indies.

On Wednesday, members of both the West Indies and Indian teams flew to Georgetown to get their visas approved via a charter flight. The initial plan was to fly to Florida from Trinidad or St Kitts.

Coach Rahul Dravid, skipper Rohit Sharma and the remaining 12 members of the Indian touring party will head towards Miami to regroup with the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, and others this evening.

Sharma is expected to be fit for the remainder of the series after retiring-hurt during the 3rd T20I at St. Kitts.

Visitors lead the series 2-1. The fourth and fifth T20I will take place on August 6th and 7th.
