Why Ravi Ashwin Is Not Playing PBKS vs RR IPL 2024 Match?

Ravi Ashwin, the talismanic off-spinner who is one of the pillars of Rajasthan Royals unit has not been included in the playing XI against Punjab Kings due to a niggle. Sanju Samson, the skipper of RR informed about the same at the toss and along with Ashwin, Jos Buttler is also ruled out.
It is the 27th match of IPL 2024 at the new home ground of Punjab Kings, and Samson has decided to bowl first after winning the toss. There are some big changes in both the teams as Punjab Kings are without their original skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Sam Curran is leading the home team in his absence.
Rajasthan Royals are coming into this game on the back of their first loss of the season and they will surely miss Ashwin who has contributed both with the bat and ball so far. However, the likes of Samson and Riyan Parag are in great form and we might see Samson opening the innings for RR in this game.
Punjab Kings, on the other hand, need a win in this game after going down against SRH in the last game and it would be interesting to see how they go about their business in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan.
