Virat Kohli and his consistency is renowned all over the cricketing world and in the IPL 2024, he started off in the same fashion with two fifties in the initial three games. However, in the fourth game against LSG, Kohli could not make a significant contribution as Kohli departed on 22 with spinner Manimaran Siddharth bagging his maiden IPL wicket.

The wicket came on the second delivery of the fifth over and it was a beautiful delivery from the young LSG spinner playing just his second game. It was a tossed up delivery, on the off stump line and Virat Kohli danced down the track to hit one out of the park. 

However, he only got a big top edge and the ball went in the air towards point where Devdutt Padikkal took a fine catch. Siddharth was naturally elated and went on a celebratory run as he bagged his maiden IPL wicket to draw first blood for his side.
