The Men In Yellow have arrived in Thiruvananthapuram to play their first warm-up fixture against Netherlands on September 30. Deemed as hot favourites, the Aussie team have commenced their World Cup preparations in full swing ahead of the marquee event.

While they eagerly await to take on the Netherlands at the Greenfield International Stadium on Saturday, Australian cricketers featuring the likes of Smith, Labuschangne, Abbott, Marsh and Carey were seen having a light moment. With plenty of rain around, the players were seen enjoying the weather and the scenic beauty while travelling in a public taxi.

Steve Smith and his men can afford to lower their guard against a fairly inexperienced Dutch side. After receiving an intense drubbing at the hands of India in their recently concluded ODI series this month, the Aussies are getting much-needed time off to rejuvenate themselves ahead of the big event.

However, they were able to put an end to their sorrowful losing streak of 5 consecutive losses in Rajkot on Wednesday. Gaining early winning momentum would be absolutely paramount for the Aussies to get back to winning ways and make their presence felt early on in the tournament.

Meanwhile, the 5-time World Cup champions would look to get a feel of the subcontinent conditions to tackle their adversaries successfully. Considering the amount of rainfall in Thiruvananthapuram today, there is every possibility of rain hampering the warm-up clash between Netherlands and Australia tomorrow.
